On November 1, 2021, Ontario Energy Board (OEB) staff issued a letter that provided guidance to assist electricity and natural gas distributors' implementation of the Green Button standard in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
In that letter, OEB staff stated that it intends to facilitate the establishment of a Green Button industry-led working group (GB IWG) and that the GB IWG would include members of the Green Button Task Force and other stakeholders interested in participating. OEB staff's guidance identified a number of issues that could benefit from further exploration in the GB IWG.
