Starting November 1, 2021, Ontario electricity distributors must implement Green Button by November 1, 2023. This aligns with section 25.35.8 of the Electricity Act. Green Button lets Ontario customers easily access and download their energy use and account details. It also allows them to share this data with third-party companies if they choose.
